An Excellent Buying Decision

Thanks everyone who helped make this harp. I've had it for 2 weeks now, not plucking the strings to get them used to the climate and humidity here. I've played it for the last 3 days now and am so pleased with the harp.

The quality and workmanship is so evident here. Everything is nice and tight. I am so grateful to you in bringing this instrument to the world. I have another Mini Concert Folk Harp [36 strings] but I have not been able to use it because I'm living in an RV and it is to big. Your harp is perfect so I will finally been able to play everyday.

So thank you so much. I give it a 5 star rating from what I've seen so far. My only concern is if and when strings break because of weather changes or abrupt humidity changes. I'm going to be rectify this by keeping the RV environment at a semi constant level when I bring out the harp. Hopefully this does not happen for awhile. I was going to purchase a whole set of strings [and I will eventually], but the cost is quite high with my budget right now. In your experience, what strings hav e a tendency to break? Perhaps I could order them right away as the waiting time to get them would be quite long getting them here.

Also the bag is awesome Love your design of carrying them with a handle as well as backpack concept. From the bottom of my heart - THANK YOU, you solved alot of problems for me.

Cheers,
Brian

Hi Brian,

We appreciate your incredibly kind words. We are beyond happy to hear that Harp·E fits your lifestyle perfectly and that you are enjoying it! As to your question on the strings, the time they are most likely to break is during stringing and the week or two after since they are still settling. The strings that are more likely to break in this period is everything above an ocave above middle C. After that, they are pretty stable and don't tend to break. Most people only replace them after a year or more due to them growing duller as they age, as all strings do - not because of breakage. The more often you use the harp, the quicker this happens so if you're a casual hobbyist, your strings will sound good for a couple years. All this to say, you are pretty good to go in terms of strings but it's handy to have a spare set just in case. Hope this makes sense!

Thank you again Brian, we wish you the best in your Harp·E journey :)

Best,
Harp·E Team

A place for everything and everything in its place

When I ordered my diy kit I was most excited about having a carrying bag/ backpack that was made specifically for the harp-e. It's easy to load and unload the straps are comfortable to wear. I do think the padding could be a bit more substantial and ridged.
